Steve is a filmmaker and explorer whose work focuses on the national parks of the western United States. He has taken his camera from the bottom of the Grand Canyon to the top of Mount Whitney, looking for untold stories about the natural world and the people who work and play there. His work can be seen in Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Sequoia, Pinnacles and Yosemite National Parks, and has been used by National Geographic, Discovery Channel, the BBC and every major broadcast network in the Unites States. Steve’s Filmmaking on the Edge live shows present behind-the-scenes stories from the production of Yosemite Nature Notes, a popular web-series produced for the National Park Service and Yosemite Conservancy that has been seen by over 7 million people throughout the world.

David has written for the Discovery Channel, the Los Angeles Times Magazine, Men’s Journal, The New York Times, Outside, and many other publications. He is the author of the Lowell Thomas Award-winning Explorer’s Guide to Yosemite & the Southern Sierra Nevada (Countryman Press/W.W. Norton), now in its second printing. His work has been anthologized in the collection Travel Stories from Around the Globe, edited by National Geographic Traveler’s Don George, and the 2013 California Prose Directory: New Writing from the Golden State (Outpost 19). He has co-produced various documentary and feature films, attended and worked film festivals from Cannes and Sundance to Telluride and Montreal, and is the producer of the popular annual Adventure Slideshow Series in Mammoth Lakes, California.
JEREMY COLLINS (Festival Artist)

Jeremy’s illustrative art has been featured in 115 issues of Rock and Ice as Senior Illustrator, 45 issues of Alpinist Magazine, numerous how-to books and for product lines throughout the outdoor industry including a line of climbing shoes. His watercolor map work has been featured on the cover of National Geographic Magazine and the Patagonia catalog. He has helped raise thousands of dollars for pediatric brain cancer, The Access Fund, American Alpine Club, and water.org, among other non-profits. He currently serves as a Section Chair for the American Alpine Club, on the board for the Cliff Drive Corridor Management Committee, and as a team member of Ríos Libres — fighting to halt a dam project in Chilean Patagonia. As a film-maker, with his studio mates at ThreeHouse, he combines illustration with animation and live-action footage to create soulful adventure+life short films that have brought him numerous awards. His film/stage production “The Wolf & The Medallion” won the Banff Center’s Creative Excellence Award, and 5 Point Film Festival’s Best of The Fest.
KASSANDRA HARDY (NPS Anniversary Coordinator)
Kass is a management assistant for Yosemite National Park. She is working on a variety of projects associated with the Yosemite Grant Act 150th, Wilderness Act 50th, and the National Park Service 100th. Kass loves the outdoors and is motivated by exploring, protecting, and painting large landscapes like the Sierra. She is also currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Law and Policy with Vermont Law School.
